Tom cruise is in Berlin for his new film World War II thriller Valkyrie and a re-shoot of a key scene took place after footage was damaged in processing. In this film he is playing the role of Hitler assassin Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg.
The film has been the source of immense interest in Germany, with producers spending months negotiating with authorities getting permission to shoot at a key historical site in Berlin.
There are reports the damage to the vision was not extensive and the re-shoot would have no effect on the film's production schedule and budget.
After spending three months in Berlin, where his hubby is shooting for the movie World War II thriller Valkyrie, today Katie flew to Newyork for a top secret photo-shoot. The shoot is tied to the promotion of her upcoming comedy, Mad Money, which will be released in January.
Tom and daughter Suri will be joining Katie in a couple of days, but their stay will be a short one. This weekend they are off to the UK for the London Film Festival premiere of Tom's new film, Lions for Lambs. The Cruise clan then jets to Rome, Paris and Los Angeles for three more gala openings of the Robert Redford-directed thriller. Then, it's straight back to Manhattan for Katie's debut in the Nov. 4 New York City Marathon.
